Hello! I’m Carole Kerch, founder and lead designer at Swell Design. My journey into interior design started in the world of fashion. For years, I worked as a fashion designer, creating looks for photo shoots, catalogs, and runway shows for major department stores. I was immersed in the art of visual storytelling—transforming concepts into captivating designs, carefully crafting every detail to create a cohesive, inspiring image.

When I became a mom and found myself spending more time at home, my creativity naturally shifted from fashion to interiors. My home became my canvas, and I quickly realized that I could apply the same principles I had honed in fashion—texture, color, composition, and mood—to design spaces that were equally as expressive and impactful. The transition from fashion to interior design felt like a natural evolution of my passion for design and aesthetics.

I would describe my style as unique, layered, and inspiring. I’m drawn to spaces that feel lived-in, personal, and full of character, yet still maintain a sense of sophistication and balance. I love mixing textures, colors, and styles to create environments that are visually dynamic and emotionally engaging. Every room I design tells a story, with carefully curated pieces that reflect my clients' personalities, tastes, and lifestyles.

Designing homes and spaces that inspire is my true passion, and I approach each project with the same excitement I felt on my first photo shoot. My goal is to create rooms that make you feel something—whether it’s a sense of calm, excitement, or inspiration. Every detail, from the furniture to the lighting, is intentionally selected to create a space that is not only beautiful but deeply meaningful.
